CHIROPRACTIC CARE
FOR BABIES
Although chiropractors are mostly known for working with your "back", chiropractic care actually works closely with your nervous system which consists of your brain, spinal cord and all of the branching nerves that connect to every single part of your body.

The Aim of Chiropractic Care for Babies
-
To enhance their future life potential by ensuring that they are adapting as adequately as possible to their change in environment from womb to the outside world.
-
To ensure that their growth and development is the best that it can be by removing as much unnecessary tension and stress in their systems to allow for optimal brain and body development.
Reasons to See a Chiropractor
Below are some presentations that can be common in the first stage of life and may be helped by chiropractic care:
-
Digestive issues (e.g. gas/reflux, abnormal bowel movements)
-
Feeding issues (e.g. difficulty latching, feeding side preference, difficulty in mother producing milk)
-
Infantile colic (inconsolable crying)
-
Plagiocephaly (flattening of one side of the skull)
-
Sleeping difficulties (e.g. issues going to sleep or staying asleep)
-
And more!

There can be many reasons for these presentations, however there has been significant research on how chiropractic care can have numerous benefits for babies in different aspects of their lives.
Our Chiropractic Techniques
Babies are adjusted very differently to adults.
Depending on their age, adjustments can be done by hand using the same light pressure you would use to check the ripeness of a tomato. For more information, please feel free to contact us.
We also provide care covered by ACC and Southern Cross.
